Regina’s Rock Creek: A Hidden Gem 🍴✨

We stumbled upon this wonderful hidden gem in Regina, and it’s quickly become a new favorite! As the weather gets cooler, we’ve been loving dining spots within walking distance, and Rock Creek fits the bill perfectly. We visited on a Monday evening, and while it was nice and quiet (perfect for a relaxed meal!), we’ve heard it gets lively and bustling on weekends—definitely a sign of a beloved local spot. 🌬️❤️ First up, we tried a bottle of Trapiche Vineyards white wine 🍷, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired beautifully with our meal. At $32, it felt like a lovely little indulgence to make the evening extra special. Let’s talk appetizers—their Baked Brie & Berries 🥨🧀 was incredible! Warm, toasty crostini topped with melty, creamy brie cheese, served alongside zesty mango salsa and sweet berry compote. The combination of textures and flavors was pure magic: the crunch of the bread, the richness of the brie, and the bright, fruity sweetness of the salsas. The menu mentioned walnuts, but honestly, we were too busy savoring every bite to notice—this dish was so delicious, it didn’t need a thing! Highly recommend adding this to your order; it’s the perfect way to start a meal. 🌟 For mains, we went with the Avocado Salsa Salmon 🐟🥑, which came with a side of Chicken Noodle Soup 🍲. The salmon was flaky and fresh, topped with a vibrant avocado salsa that added a lovely creamy kick. Our little one, however, had other plans—they didn’t take more than a few bites of the fish, but they loved the chicken noodle soup! It was warm, comforting, and packed with tender chicken and soft noodles—just the thing for a cool evening. We didn’t mind one bit; seeing them enjoy it so much was the best part. 👶😊 Then there was the 2 Meats Platter 🍖, served with a fresh salad and creamy Mac & Cheese 🧀. The two meats? Fall-off-the-bone ribs and tender, juicy beef, both with that amazing smoky flavor that makes your taste buds sing, balanced with a hint of sweet honey. Every bite was so flavorful, we immediately wished we’d gone for the 3 Meats option—only $5 more for an extra meat! It was that good. In fact, it was so delicious, it even made us daydream about setting up our own little smoker at home to recreate that amazing flavor. 🤤 The service here was top-notch too! The staff were friendly, attentive, and had the perfect balance of checking in without being intrusive. They even smiled and gently reminded us that the plates were hot—such a thoughtful touch. We were so impressed that we happily left a 20% tip, and with that, the total bill came to under $140. For the quality of food, portion sizes, and lovely service, that’s incredible value! 💸✨ All in all, Rock Creek truly lives up to its “hidden gem” title. From the delicious food to the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, it’s a spot we’ll definitely be returning to—especially on those chilly evenings when we want something warm, tasty, and close to home. If you’re in Regina, do yourself a favor and check it out! 🥰 #Regina #HiddenGemRestaurant
