Restaurant Review | Houston's Portuguese and Indian Fusion - Oporto

Today, I visited Oporto, a fusion restaurant of Portuguese and Indian cuisines located in Midtown. The prices are moderate, but the portions are on the smaller side. The food wasn't particularly mind-blowing, but it was definitely enjoyable! We ordered three dishes and a dessert: Crab and Avocado Crostini: Toasted baguette topped with crab meat and avocado πŸ¦€πŸ₯‘. This dish was quite tasty, perfect as a bite-sized appetizer. The baguette was crispy, and the portion came with three pieces. Scallop Farrotto: The risotto was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the scallops were delicious. However, the portion size was quite smallβ€”I felt like my friend and I could have easily finished a whole plate each 😁. Grilled Octopus: The octopus was tender and not chewy at all. The meat had a good texture, not overly soft. It came with squid and potato stir-fry underneath, which I thought was quite tasty. For dessert, we tried the Portuguese custard tart. My friend mentioned that you can often tell how good a restaurant is by its desserts or custard tarts. This one was just okay πŸ˜‚. The edges weren't very crispy, and the filling was nothing special, but it brought back memories of KFC, which I haven't had in a while πŸ₯Ή. Parking in the area can be a bit challenging, but the restaurant offers valet service for $10, which is reasonably priced. Overall, it’s worth a visit! Address: 125 W Gray St, Houston, TX 77019 Restaurant Name: Oporto Fooding House and Wine #Houston #HoustonFood #Food #RestaurantReview #PortugueseCuisine #HoustonExploration #FoodWithoutBorders #TasteTheWorld #RestaurantRecommendation #ExoticFlavors
