Riga 🇱🇻 | Michelin, Medieval & Desserts
🍽️ Snatch (Michelin 2024 & 2025) 📍 Must-tries: 🍘Truffle dumplings & avocado-shrimp with wasabi (topped with caviar—surprisingly refreshing!) 🍘Fresh-baked bread with homemade butter 🍘Strawberry limonade & hearty porcini mushroom soup 💡 Book ahead! An affordable Michelin gem. 🏰 Rozengrāls *(13th-century cellar restaurant)* 🍘Salmon bun: Meh. 🍘Roasted pumpkin + mushrooms: Good (but pumpkin is just a plain chunk). 🍘Pork shank: Huge portion for two, but gets greasy (pickles are very sour). 🍯 Parunāsim (Riga’s "most romantic café") 🍝Honey cake (€5.88): Perfectly sweet with caramel notes—the best in town! 🍝Tip: Share a slice + coffee/tea (staff speak great English). 🍲 Lido (Latvian cafeteria chain) 🥬Because of its location away from the city center, both its interior and exterior are beautifully designed with a great atmosphere. The restaurant has three levels: à la carte dining on the top floor, 🍤mid-level à la carte and buffet options, and a self-service buffet with a bar on the ground floor. We chose the mid-level buffet as it offered the largest variety of dishes.🍤 🍣Self-serve buffet: Pile your plate, pay by item (no weighing). 🍣Pro tip: Toilet code is on receipts—ask if unsure! #RigaTravel #Michelin #Latvia #Foodie
