Road Trip Through the Heartland | USA Cross-Country Drive Day 1๏ผ๐
โจ A Hidden Miracle in the Glass Forest: The Chapel in Hot Springs We woke up early and headed into the woods north of Hot Springs, Arkansas, in search of the chapel hidden deep in the forest โ Anthony Chapel. ๐ฒ๐๏ธ When we stepped into the woods, walking on layers of pine needles, and saw that all-glass chapel towering among the trees, I literally held my breath. ๐ฒ The trees acted as its walls, and sunlight filtered through the leaves and glass, creating dancing patterns of light and shadow โ it felt like stepping into the forest sanctuary from Hayao Miyazakiโs Princess Mononoke. ๐ฟโจ There are no crosses inside, no extravagant decorations โ just minimalist lines blending perfectly with nature. Sitting on one of the wooden benches, with only the sound of the wind and birdsong around, I felt a deep sense of peace. ๐๏ธ๐ ๐ธ This place is absolutely perfect for soft, aesthetic photos โ think K-drama travel vibes! ๐๏ธ Exploring Little Rock, the Capital of Arkansas In the afternoon, we drove a little over an hour to Little Rock, the capital city of Arkansas. Compared to the fairy-tale forest from the morning, the city offered a relaxed and easy-going vibe. ๐ Our first stop was the majestic Arkansas State Capitol building. Like most state capitols, it features a white dome that closely resembles the U.S. Capitol. ๐๏ธ We strolled through the lawns outside, watching fountains sparkle in the distance. The pace here felt slow, almost as if preserving a piece of classic, laid-back American culture. โ๏ธ๐ณ #USA#LittleRock#USARoadTrip #HeartlandUSA #AnthonyChapel #HotSprings #LittleRock #Arkansas #TravelUSA
