Rooster & Owl – An Affordable Michelin-Starred Experience in DC 🍽️

125 for a 4-course menu, with each add-on priced at 15. The dishes incorporate many Asian-inspired elements, giving a familiar taste—but perhaps a bit too familiar to be truly exciting. 🥢 The standout was definitely the short rib—it had a char siu-like flavor, tender and juicy, served with perfectly crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside potatoes. 🥩🍟 That said, some dishes were overly salty, and the shrimp cake with chicken liver mousse had a slightly off-putting fishy taste… not the most balanced combo. 🍤😬 Dessert was overwhelmingly sweet—so much so that we couldn’t finish it. 🍰💔 We added three extra dishes, and the total came to around $400 for two. My dining partner said… we probably won’t be returning. 🙈 Have you been to Rooster & Owl? What’s your favorite Michelin spot in the DMV that’s actually worth the hype?
