🛣️ Route 66 – Known as the "Mother Road," it was once the main path to the American West. Starting in Chicago, Illinois, it crosses through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and finally ends in Santa Monica, California. 📅 Itinerary Stop 17 brought us to Oklahoma! With limited time, we explored Oklahoma City. 🎨 Plaza Walls Gallery 📍 Address: 1745 NW 16th St Suite F4, Oklahoma City The Oklahoma Mural Syndicate (OMS) is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting public art across the state. They launched Plaza Walls in 2015—a rotating mural project aimed at revitalizing the Plaza District. Since then, OMS has inspired over 300 murals statewide! 🎨✨ 💡 Lake Hefner Located in northwest OKC, this reservoir is also a popular spot for relaxation. The sunset views here are absolutely breathtaking! 🌅 🤠 Oklahoma National Stockyards Until 1961, livestock sales were conducted through private treaties. Later, auctions were introduced, creating more competitive markets. Thanks to innovative management and strategic location, the OKC Stockyards grew into the world’s largest feeder cattle market, selling over 500,000 cattle annually.
