Royal Arch: A Hike to Conquer the Skyline
🥳The early morning Royal Arch trail was still shrouded in mist as we set off like explorers, treading on dewy paths. 🥳The steep forest slope in the first half felt like a fitness class designed by nature—we had to stop to catch our breath every ten steps, 🌳The most breathtaking moment was when we squeezed through a rocky crevice and suddenly saw the natural stone arch! 🌳The sunlight shone right through the center of the arch, illuminating the red rocks like burning amber. 💗As we sat slumped under the arch munching on energy bars, we met a silver-haired couple hiking with their dog. 💗They told us they'd been coming here for dates every week for forty years. On the way up, I saw some deer feeding. On the way down, I chatted with a few people who pointed me in the right direction. 🚩If you only want to go to the arch, take the leftmost trail from the parking lot and follow the signs. According to the hiking trail map, the hike can be quite strenuous. You'll go from flat paths to steps, to walking across rocks. #RoyalArch #Boulder #Hiking #Forest
