Rumi’s Kitchen in Atlanta

🔶This is a Persian restaurant with very unique and charming decor. The only downside is that it gets quite crowded and noisy. We arrived at 2:30 p.m. on a Saturday as walk-ins and waited for about 20 minutes. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance. 🍖Each table is given a complimentary serving of cheese and some vegetable leaves. We also ordered a salad, which had a great dressing with dried fruits that added a sweet touch. For the main course, we had the wagyu beef and sea bass, both served with a generous portion of rice. Initially, they accidentally brought us two servings of sea bass, which we thought was a pre-portioned arrangement. In the end, we took home two boxes of leftovers. The sea bass was very tender, though one piece was slightly overcooked on the outside. The wagyu beef was juicy and of high quality. The rice seemed to be seasoned with spices and tasted really good. 🔷The average cost per person was $60, excluding tips. Perhaps it was because we were really hungry, but the best dish for us was the spinach & date salad at the beginning. Hummus: As the soul of Middle Eastern cuisine, the hummus here is a must-try. The versions with cremini and oyster mushrooms are highly recommended, especially with the addition of porcini broth, which gives the hummus an earthy, savory flavor. 🥲Lamb Ribs: Perfectly cooked with a glaze that complements the dish just right. The charcoal aroma mixed with the lamb fat is absolutely delightful. This is the one dish that I’ve ordered every single time I’ve visited! Main Courses: Most of Rumi’s main dishes are charcoal-grilled, similar to kababs, and you can choose from a variety of rice options to pair with them. #BeautifulRiceDishes #InternationalStudentEats #MediterraneanDiet
