São Paulo, Brazil Guide | BBQ🥩 & Sightseeing🌃 All in One

Mao Dan has finally pieced together the big South American puzzle—Brazil🧩! The first stop is São Paulo, and it turns out it’s not as chaotic as imagined; in fact, you can fully embrace a sense of relaxation here. This guide wraps up all the beautiful scenery and delicious food—just follow it and you’ll have a great time! Day 1 | First Impressions After Landing: Casual Stroll & Stunning Night View Don’t rush to rest after dropping off your luggage—go for a City Walk and wander around. It’s quite hot, but when the wind blows, that unique vibrant South American vibe comes floating over~ 🥩 Fogo de Chão—Jardins The all-you-can-eat BBQ is a must-try! The meat is freshly sliced and served right from the cart, still hot and with a charred aroma. There are all kinds of cuts—lamb, beef, chicken—and plenty of fruits and vegetables on the side to balance the richness. You just can’t stop eating; meat lovers will be in heaven! 🌃 Terraço Itália (Highly Recommend the Night View❗ Go left after entering, take the elevator to the 37th floor, then transfer to the 41st floor. The ticket is 50 reais, and the night view is absolutely stunning! There’s also a live band playing on site. Order a juice, lean by the window, and watch the city lights spread out like stars—you’ll instantly feel relaxed, and the sense of ease is off the charts~ Day 2 | One-Day City Tour: Park Run, Museum Visit, Burger Feast, Batman Alley Check-In ☀️ Parque Ibirapuera Coming here in the morning is so healing🌅! There’s a large grassy area next to the lake, and people jogging in the morning light—even just sitting by the lake is comfortable. I couldn’t help but run 1km; when the wind blows, even my steps feel light~ 🍔 Méqui 1000 This is the 1000th McDonald’s in Brazil! It changes themes every once in a while; recently it’s “Our World,” and the decor is super cute—perfect for photos, so don’t miss it if you like taking pictures~ 🖼 Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) The viral “eye-rolling portrait”—The Unequal Marriage—is hanging here! I never expected to see real works by Van Gogh and Monet too; my eyes were wide open. The museum has two buildings, so don’t miss either one while exploring~ 🍟 Madero Steak House The title of “the best burger in the world” isn’t an exaggeration! The bread is crispy on the outside and soft inside—you hear a crunch when you bite into it—and the meat is juicy and fragrant. One bite and you’ll be overwhelmed with happiness; you’ll even want to pack one to go after eating! ⛪ Catedral da Sé One of São Paulo’s landmarks, the building itself is stunning—its Gothic spires pierce the sky, and just a glance is impressive. But❗ Be sure to hold onto your phone tightly! The area around isn’t very safe, so watch out for theft and stay alert while wandering~ 🎨 Beco do Batman The whole street is covered in graffiti, with vibrant colors—every wall looks like it’s been splashed with paint by artists. There are also some small shops and cafes tucked in the alley. It’s not very big though; a leisurely 10-minute walk is enough, so it’s perfect for wrapping up the itinerary~ 🌳 Figueira Rubaiyat (Dinner) I chose this big banyan tree BBQ restaurant for the final dinner, and the environment is amazing! A century-old tree grows right through the roof, with its branches spreading overhead—eating BBQ under the tree is somehow romantic. The dishes are exquisite, and no one rushes you to finish; even the air feels slow and relaxed~ Other Recommended Restaurants Babacoa (BBQ, authentic Brazilian flavor) Nakka (Japanese food, very fresh) Da Marino (Seafood, fresh and delicious) NB Steak JK (Steak lovers, go for it! The doneness is perfect) Planning to take an overnight first-class bus to Rio at night~ To end, here’s a quote from an older brother I met in Brazil: “One can’t preset the length of life, but we can slowly expand its width with experiences and passion.” #BrazilBackpacking #SouthAmericaTravelInspiration #MASPArtMuseum #BrazilianBBQ #TravelWithRelaxation #SouthAmericaTravel #ChileTravel
