San Diego | Shawarma Guys
📍:3012 Grape Street, San Diego I'd tried this place back when they were just a food truck, so when I heard they opened a spot downtown, I immediately grabbed a friend to go check it out! ~ Let me start with my favorite—the Falafel (Middle Eastern veggie balls)! 🌯 Their falafel is seriously amazing. The outside is fried to a golden, crispy perfection, and with that satisfying "crunch" when you bite in, you'll find a soft, fluffy interior made from bean paste and herbs. Infused with the aroma of cumin and cilantro, they're not greasy at all—in fact, they just get more addictive the more you chew. Even if you're not a vegetarian, I highly recommend giving them a try. They'll totally change what you think of "fried balls"! Of course, the real star of the show is their signature Wagyu Shawarma! 🥙 We ordered the Wagyu wrap, and let me tell you—the meat quality is beyond words. Tender, fragrant, and juicy, the rich marbling of the Wagyu melts right into the thin flatbread. Topped with fresh tomatoes, pickles, and garlic sauce, each bite is a happy battle of savory meat and refreshing ingredients. My friend couldn't stop nodding along, saying, "This meat is just incredible!" 😋 Besides the classic wrap, we also tried the Wagyu bowl. The rice soaked up all the meat juices, and together with grilled veggies and hummus, it was super satisfying. If you're feeling adventurous, make sure to add the Wagyu egg rolls—crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a perfectly balanced filling. No wonder they’ve been featured on food shows! The restaurant is located on the corner of Grape Street. Parking isn’t too bad, and the vibe inside is simple yet relaxed—perfect for a quick after-work meal or a casual weekend hangout with friends. 👫 If you're into Mediterranean flavors or just looking for something different for lunch, you can totally trust this spot! 🥳 #SanDiegoEats #SanDiegoFood #SanDiegoFoodGuide #SanDiegoLife #SandiegoFood
