San Diego Authentic Italian Restaurant

I saw many people recommending this Italian restaurant in San Diego, saying it’s very authentic, so I couldn’t resist trying it out! 😊 The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a rainy evening. After we sat down, we were first served bread—freshly baked and crispy, served with two dips: one slightly spicy and the other a refreshing olive oil. Simple but delicious. For the appetizer, we ordered the ANTIPASTO DI MARE Seafood Salad 🥗, featuring tender octopus, squid rings, and shrimp with arugula, drizzled with lemon juice. It was refreshing and appetizing, a great start to the meal. The ZUPPA DEL GIORNO Soup of the Day was tomato and carrot soup, similar to borscht. Drinking a warm bowl on a rainy day was so comforting.☔️ For the main course, we tried two pasta dishes. The PAPPARDELLE CON IL RAGÙ D’AGNELLO Braised Lamb Wide Pasta had tender and flavorful lamb, but the wide noodles were a bit too firm for my taste, so I wouldn’t highly recommend this one.🍝 However, the SQUID INK SEAFOOD PASTA was absolutely amazing! 🦑 This dish is actually a hidden item not on the menu. It includes clams, mussels, shrimp, and scallops, and the squid ink pasta was incredibly fragrant. Highly recommended! Another main course, POLLO ALLA BOSCAIOLA Mushroom Cream Chicken, was also delightful. The chicken breast was incredibly tender, easily falling apart when cut, and paired with mushrooms and cream sauce, it was rich and smooth.🍗 Finally, the restaurant generously served NUTELLA CHEESECAKE as a complimentary dessert. It was perfectly sweet and not at all heavy, wrapping up the meal on a high note.🍰 Overall, this Italian restaurant is truly authentic, especially the seafood dishes and hidden menu items.
