San Diego Surprise: All-You-Can-Eat Small Dishes for $20

Shocking Discovery in SD: $19.99 All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Stir-Fry Buffet with Small Bowl Dishes! 🎉 I never imagined people in San Diego eat so well! While driving south from LA, I happened to pass by Ma-DaSao, a restaurant offering an all-you-can-eat small bowl dishes buffet for just $19.99 per person. With a 1.5-hour time limit and unlimited refills, I thought, "At this price, it’s worth a try no matter what!" Little did I know, the experience was full of surprises. 😊 We spent about 40 minutes dining there, and the variety of dishes exceeded my expectations. I tried at least 15 different small bowl dishes, and the chef didn’t cut corners just because it was a buffet—each dish was above average in quality. The flavors even surpassed 70% of the Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in Boston. Boston residents really have it tough when it comes to food! 😅 You can enjoy all the classic dishes to your heart’s content. Since they’re served in small bowls, you can sample a wide range of flavors. Some highlights include: Shredded potatoes (crispy and homestyle) 🌟 Stir-fried pork with peppers 🌶️ Sautéed liver slices Tomato and egg stir-fry 🍅 Sichuan-style fish with pickled cabbage (made with black fish slices!) Shrimp and tofu Mapo tofu Dry pot shrimp (crispy enough to eat with the shell!) 🦐 Tomato, potato, and beef stew Sweet and sour ribs (with a strong vinegar kick) Braised pork belly (a bit greasy, but decent) Kung Pao chicken (delicious!) 😋 Three-cup chicken Lion’s head meatballs (best with the first bite, then slightly greasy) Soybean and pig trotter soup (very flavorful!) 🍖 Sichuan-style boiled beef (tender and well-seasoned, though maybe a bit too tender from the baking soda or tenderizer) In less than an hour, I spotted at least 16 different dishes, and there might have been more later. At $20 per person, if you eat six bowls, it’s like paying only $3.50 per bowl—definitely a great deal! 🤑 The owner mentioned that this is a trial period, so the price might change later. At this rate, I feel like they’re probably running at a loss! #SanDiegoEats #ChineseBuffet #SmallBowlFeast #FoodieFinds #BudgetFriendly #EatAllYouCan #HomestyleCooking
