Saturday Halloween Night at LA Universal Studios Without Express Pass

Hey spooky squad! 🎃👻 Are you ready for the ultimate Halloween night adventure? I tackled the SCARIEST night of the year at Universal Studios Hollywood on a Saturday – with no Express Pass! 🙀 And guess what? It was absolutely EPIC! Let me spill all the details so you can conquer it too! 💥 💀 Timing: Saturday (the BUSIEST day, but so worth it!) 🎟 Ticket Type: Highly recommend getting the ticket that lets you enter at 2PM! You can explore the regular park in the afternoon – hit those classic rides, grab some food, and then at 5:30 PM, when the haunted houses open, you're already there and ready! 🎢🍔➡️👹 ⸻ 🕑 Daytime Route Plan As soon as you enter at 2PM, head straight to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! 🧙‍♂️✨ • 🧹 Flight of the Hippogriff: Ride this first! The wait was around 20 minutes – short and sweet! • 🪄 Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: Waited about 40 minutes. This classic never gets old – still magical as ever! • 🍗 Three Broomsticks Restaurant: You HAVE to eat here! 🥹 The Butterbeer is pure happiness in a cup – I loved it so much I got another one before leaving the area! (It's non-alcoholic, so everyone can enjoy!) ⸻ 🌒 Nighttime + Haunted Houses Route (Starting around 5:00 PM) Some haunted houses opened as early as 5:00 PM! We hit these two first and only waited about 10 minutes each! 😱 1️⃣ Terrifier 👉 Super gory + jump scares everywhere! Highly recommended for hardcore horror fans! 🔪🩸 2️⃣ Poltergeist 👉 Amazing atmosphere and set design – it gave all the classic, retro haunted house vibes! 🏚️👻 By this time, crowds were growing, so we switched to some regular rides with super short lines! 🎢 Jurassic World River Adventure, Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers: Barely any wait – we rode them all in about 10 minutes each! Riding them at night with all the lights and atmosphere made them even more thrilling! 🌙 ⸻ 🍄 Around 7:00 PM, we headed to Super Nintendo World™ – and what a wonderful surprise! 🎮 It was almost EMPTY! We walked right onto Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge – no wait, straight to the fun! 🍝 Toadstool Cafe™ was also walk-in – no reservation needed! We ate right away! The entire land was beautifully lit at night – perfect for clean, dreamy photos! ✨ After some fun there, as the night grew darker and spookier, we headed back to the haunted houses! 👇 ⸻ 3️⃣ Monstrous: The Monsters Unleashed 👉 This was the longest wait of the night – about 45 minutes as it got much busier. But let me tell you – it was SO! SCARY! 😱 Maybe it’s because I’m a little scared of huge monsters… 4️⃣ Terror Tram 👉 The experience of walking through open-air scenes while "surrounded by monsters" wasn’t too frightening, but the actors were super into it – great energy and fun interactions! 👍 We left around 10:00 PM – totally wiped but so happy! 😂 ⸻ 🧩 Helpful Tips Summary ✅ The 2PM ticket is the best value: enjoy the park by day, haunted houses by night – two experiences in one! ✅ Non-haunt attractions have shorter lines at night – perfect for mixing in between scares! ✅ If you get scared easily, don’t worry too much – with big crowds, the fear factor goes down a bit! 😉 So, who's planning their own Universal Halloween trip? 🎟️ Which house would you try first?
