SD | Michelin Three-Star Addison β Totally Worth It π
π Addison As the only three-Michelin-star restaurant in Southern California, located inside The Grand Del Mar. I booked about a month ahead β easy on OpenTable, and you can cancel for free up to 72 hours before (fair policy!). The full experience lasts almost 4 hours β definitely recommend an earlier reservation. You can upgrade the base $375/person tasting menu: Caviar +$190/person Wagyu +$195/person Black Truffle +$265/person We went with the truffle upgrade β added to several courses. Also opted for the wine pairing at $380/person (they also have an Γ la carte wine list). β οΈ Heads up: At one point, the server wheeled over a cart with four off-menu wines β they donβt mention the price unless you ask. Learned later from others that one glass could be $550+! π³ Our final total for two (menu + truffle + wine + tax + 20% tip) came to around $1,900. The entire meal was delicious β mostly French-Japanese fusion with brilliant molecular touches. Loved it! π½οΈ Molecular Bites Each one crafted with care β especially the black truffle roll, a flavor explosion! π³ Uni Chawanmushi Hokkaido uni β sweet, creamy, perfect with silky egg custard. π Crispy Rice with Caviar Crunchy and fragrant, though it got a bit rich toward the end. ποΈ Pigeon Not like Cantonese roast pigeon β more like seared-skin pigeon gently braised. Unique and tender. π° Desserts Every single one was a joy β bite-sized bursts of happiness! #SanDiegoEats #SanDiego #FineDiningSD #SDLife #Michelin3Star #MichelinRestaurant
