Wa Dining Okan 🅿️:Plaza, free parking. Today I tried this cozy Japanese restaurant. 👩🏻 The Japanese-style braised pork was quite good—sweet and savory, with tender meat that melts in your mouth 😋. It’s perfect for those who enjoy sweet flavors! I also tried the creamy uni udon 🍜. It was as rich as its name suggests! The first few bites were delicious, but after a while, it did feel a bit heavy 😄. It’s great for an occasional treat, though halfway through, I started craving something spicy to refresh my palate 🌶️. The sea urchin and roe rice bowl was today’s “highlight” ✨, but it was a bit pricey—market price was $45 today. The sea urchin was in large pieces, creamy and sweet with a mild briny flavor~ But honestly, I usually buy small containers of sea urchin for $8 at the supermarket, and $45 is almost enough for a whole box of good Japanese sea urchin 💸. Of course, the restaurant price includes rice, preparation, and service~ So when I saw the actual dish, I thought: well, maybe this is a bit too luxurious for me 😅. But if you love sea urchin and don’t mind spending, you can give it a try! 💡 Quick tip: Check your bill carefully—I heard this restaurant automatically adds an 18% service charge, so make sure you don’t tip twice~ ✅ Overall, it’s a lovely Japanese-style family restaurant with a warm atmosphere 🏮. The braised pork is highly recommended, and the sea urchin dishes depend on your budget! It’s a nice place to enjoy once in a while~ ❤️ #JapaneseCuisine #FoodDiary #RestaurantReview #SeaUrchin #BraisedPork #FoodieLife #VancouverEats
