📍 Matcha Man Ice Cream & Taiyaki 6014 12th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108, United States Tucked away in a corner of South Seattle, this shop is surprisingly spacious inside, filled with plants and some vintage T-shirts. The vibe is eclectic and laid-back. They’re known for their taiyaki ice cream, but since I didn’t feel like having the waffle cone, I went for a cup instead. You can choose a single flavor or mix two—options like matcha + black sesame, horchata + cereal milk, or mango + pineapple—along with two toppings. Avoid the Oreo crumbs and graham cracker crumbs as toppings—they’re too finely ground and can easily make you cough. 🌟 Matcha & Black Sesame Swirl The black sesame is delicious! The matcha isn’t super strong, and the combination feels a little unusual, but each flavor is nice on its own. 🌟 Ube & Pandan Swirl The ube reminds me of the classic “American grape” ice cream from childhood, while pandan—often used in cakes—pairs surprisingly well with ube.
