Seattle's Stunning Mountain Views
Day 1: ⛰️ Mt. Rainier - 🥾 Skyline Trail We hiked the Skyline Trail clockwise. The first half offered breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier, while the second half took a shortcut via the Golden Gate Trail. At the start of the day, we were greeted with clear skies, the snow-capped mountain, and a sea of clouds halfway up the slopes. However, fog rolled in during the latter part of the hike... Day 2: ⛵️ Diablo Lake On our way from Mt. Rainier to Glacier, we stopped to admire Diablo Lake. Its vibrant turquoise waters shimmered like a living gem, rippling under the sunlight with every breeze. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a spot to rent a boat or go kayaking. Day 3: ⛰️ Mt. Baker - 🥾 Ptarmigan Trail Time for some "military training," folks! 😂 Our group of six confidently started the Ptarmigan Trail, thinking it would be a breeze. One moment we were too exhausted to speak, and the next, we were filming videos and playfully taunting the mountain. This ridge trail is incredibly diverse (and lengthy), offering views of cloud seas, meadows, moss-covered paths, glacial lakes, and even wild blueberries for a DIY snack 🫐. The endpoint felt incredibly close to Mt. Baker, and when a strong wind blew, it revealed the intricate textures of the glaciers—absolutely awe-inspiring! #Seattle #SeattleTravel #SeattleArea#Seattlelife#travelguide#tripdiary#Washington
