Seattle | Bellevue Botanical Garden
🌟The Zen-inspired Yao Garden Nested within Bellevue Botanical Garden is a Japanese garden rich in Zen philosophy ~ Yao Garden. The art of Japanese gardening has been deeply influenced by Chinese Zen culture, striving for simplicity, tranquility, naturalness, and modesty. Yao Garden is a typical pond-style garden, treating water as the soul of the garden. Visiting in May, which is the spring season in Seattle and the best time for the botanical garden, we were greeted by a “full” Yao Garden, brimming with vitality and blossoms. Yet, it still retains its serene atmosphere. 🌟You can find the origin of the garden’s name on the informative display boards outside the garden. The city of Yao in Japan is a sister city to Bellevue. 🌟Background Music: Guqin piece “Running Water Over Stones”, thanks to Teacher Wang Taiheng from Furen Guqin Studio for the recommendation. #ChronicleOfARomanticLife #MyTravelDiary #TravelSnapshots #OffTheBeatenPath #LiveAndLife #CityExplorationProject #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleSurroundings #YouHaveToSeeTheWorldToHaveAWorldview #TravelingInUSA
