Seattle | Driftwood, aworthy seaside bistro - oysters are a must-order
💕The degree of culinary desert in Seattle is plain to see, reaching a point where even McChicken is hard to come by and costs nearly a dollar per piece. But in this desert, there’s a place I want to recommend: Driftwood. 💕What could be better than enjoying seafood while looking at the ocean on a weekday at Alki Beach? 💕Oysters are a must-order in my opinion. A dozen for $52 isn’t cheap, but it’s truly worth it. The high-quality Washington state oysters from Taylor’s Shellfish paired with pickled strawberries offer an excellent combination of coolness and sweetness; 💕The steamed clams are also fantastic. Though the portion isn’t large, each clam is plump and delicious. The most magical part is the addition of minced meat, which gives it a bit of a chopped pepper flavor, combined with sea vegetables… It makes us wonder if there’s a Chinese chef in the kitchen. 💕There’s also bread with Honey Cream (forgot the name), which we noticed every table was ordering, so we followed suit. At $12 for four small pieces, this seemingly adorable dipping sauce is indeed delicious. #Seattle #SeattleFood #Seafood #FoodDiary #Oysters #WorthVisiting
