Just moved to Seattle and I’ve already been treated to the Northern Lights and beautiful weather. Never experiencing winter here, I must say, it’s absolutely wonderful! 🪻 The lupines are in bloom, so take advantage of their full glory in May and head to Van Lierop Park for some stunning photos! I didn’t find the famous swing, but isn’t capturing Mount Rainier with the lupine flowers even more beautiful? 🏔️ If you’re looking to photograph the classic snowy mountain road, Kite Park is the place to go. I managed to get a long shot with my phone, but for the camera, you’ll need a long lens. For the exact location, search 📍 Information Center at Tehaleh. There’s a café here where many locals love to lie on the lawn outside with their kids, sipping drinks, and gazing at the distant snow-capped mountains. 🐕 On a sunny day, I chose a nearby dog park in Seatac. That evening, the majestic Mount Rainier appeared in full view behind the park. Yumi was running through the grass, creating such a picturesque scene that I couldn’t help but capture it with my 📷. This large, fully-fenced dog park with two levels is highly recommended, with a Google rating of 4.7, and it’s free.
