Seattle | Mountain-Backed, Water-Front Healing Camping Site 🏕️
🌟Camped near Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park on Saturday. We arrived at the campsite around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Through the trees, we could see the sky-blue lake, which was so beautiful. Here’s a wave of original phone photos to give you a feel. 📍Fairholme Campground 🌟The campsites by the lake are roughly divided into three layers: 🔹 The lowest layer is by the lake, accessible by foot. It’s perfect for those who want to boat or paddleboard. Sites like 88-90 are great. 🔹 The middle layer is neither by the lake nor by the road and also requires a walk to access. Site 72 has an unobstructed view of the lake, while 71 is behind 72 with a blocked view. Number 70 has a small path to the lake, but the site is not very level and has a tree trunk in the middle. 🔹 The top layer along the road has sites 53-56. The advantage is that you can park your car at the site, and it’s close to the toilets and garbage station, but the lake view is blocked by trees. 🌟One downside of the lakeside campsites is the road noise during the day since the Olympic Highway is across the lake. It’s better at night, but you might need earplugs. Also, the restrooms are pretty clean. 🌟It’s very difficult to book popular campsites on summer weekends. We usually wake up at 7 am six months in advance to snag a spot. Mark your calendars for next year’s booking rush! 🌟For more travel tips about Washington State, check out my [Washington State] collection folder.
