Seattle | Vashon Island Day Trip Guide
It takes about an hour to get there from the Eastside, including a short ferry ride from Fauntleroy to Vashon 🚢. Enjoy the views, and you’ll arrive on the island in no time! Here’s a suggested itinerary: 1️⃣ The Vashon Doors A must-visit artistic spot on the island, featuring iconic doors from films and TV shows 🚪. See if you recognize any! When we visited, the owner was lovingly repairing one of the doors—such a heartwarming moment ❤️. 2️⃣ Old Bicycle In The Tree A bicycle slowly being "swallowed" by a tree over time 🚲. Part of the bike has already fallen off, but its weathered appearance makes you wonder about the story behind it. 3️⃣ Nashi Orchards Tasting Room Loved the ambiance of this winery! They specialize in pear wine 🥂. Tastings are $15 per person, with non-alcoholic options for $9. We tried both and had a great experience—ended up bringing two bottles home 🍐. 4️⃣ Oscar - The Bird King Many might already know about this giant troll created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. One of five hidden in the Greater Seattle area, the "Bird King" is located in Point Robinson Park and easy to find! 5️⃣ Point Robinson Lighthouse After seeing the troll, don’t leave just yet! Take a short trail in the park to reach the charming lighthouse, where you can also enjoy a stunning view of Mount Rainier 🗻. 6️⃣ The Hardware Store Restaurant We ended the day with dinner at this historic restaurant. Their signature "Hardware Store Burger" 🍔 and a randomly ordered pasta 🍝 were both delicious. A perfect end to a joyful day ✌🏻. #VashonIsland #SeattleLife #SeattleDaily #SeattleTravel #Seattle #SeattleWeekend#Seattleguide
