Seattle Bahamian Cuisine

Recently, I've been checking out various international cuisines, including American, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, and so on. I stumbled upon a super interesting Bahamian restaurant, which is a nationwide chain and can be found in many parts of the United States. It was my first time trying it~ 📍 Restaurant Name: Bahama Breeze 🗺️ Address: 15700 Southcenter Pkwy, Tukwila, WA 98188 🌴 I could feel the strong tropical vacation vibe even before entering the restaurant. The high ceiling decor, lively music, paintings and sculptures, warm lighting, and even the little fish table lamps are all filled with island charm! The atmosphere is fantastic, making me feel like I'm on vacation, far from work~ We ordered: 🟢 Whole Jamaican jerk wings $16.99 You must try these grilled chicken wings!!! They really taste like roasted pigeons!! This is a traditional Jamaican barbecue dish, marinated and then grilled, with crispy skin on the outside and tender meat on the inside. Order it! You won't be disappointed~The portion is quite large, and it's a whole chicken wing. I was full just from the appetizer, haha.. 🟡 Jerk Shrimp pineapple bowl $21.49 Bahamian pineapple rice, served in a pineapple container. It includes rice, bell peppers, pineapple, shrimp, etc., with a sweet sauce. I've now tried pineapple rice from various countries, haha. To be honest, this dish is beautifully presented, but it was too sweet and a bit cloying by the end. Friends who like sweet dishes can order it~ 🟢 Tequila Sunburn glazed salmon $22.49 Tequila-glazed salmon with pineapple and mango chunks, cinnamon sweet potato puree, and green beans. The salmon is also sweet, but it's grilled very well! What surprised me was the green beans, topped with lemon juice, which were very refreshing and helped cut through the sweetness, pairing well with the sweet-glazed salmon! 🟢 For drinks, we ordered two of the same, Bahamarita, one with alcohol and one without, but they tasted completely different. I preferred the sweet non-alcoholic version, but if you order a sweet drink, you might want to consider ordering dishes that are less sweet, otherwise, it could be overwhelmingly sweet and cloying. I also saw cocktails served in pineapple containers, which you might want to try... I would still recommend giving this restaurant a try, especially if you like sweet flavors. Friends who don't prefer sweet dishes can try the grilled chicken wings, definitely order the jerk wings! #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleFood #SeattleExplore #Pineapple #PineappleRice #Cocktail #Bahamas #Vacation #FoodDaily #Salmon #Sweet #SeattleRestaurant
