Seattle Life | A Street Food Tour
Two weekends in a row, I immersed myself in Seattle's two major summer food events: the Ballard Food Festival and Bites of Seattle. The sun was shining—it was truly a happy time for food lovers. ☀️ Both events were bustling and full of energy. 🎉 In comparison, the Ballard Food Festival had a more relaxed, neighborhood feel, with plenty of local shops and pubs lining the streets. Downtown's Bites of Seattle, on the other hand, was larger in scale, bringing together restaurants and food trucks from all over the city. Personally, I felt the food options were more diverse and the flavors slightly better overall. The most memorable bite was an amazing candied hawthorn berry skewer (though I unfortunately forgot the stall's name 😋)—sweet, sour, and crispy, instantly bringing back childhood memories. Long lines are the norm at these events, and prices are generally higher than at the restaurants themselves 😂, but the atmosphere makes it all worth it. The square's fountain offered a refreshing coolness, while live music filled the air 🎵. People stood or sat around, chatting and laughing with food in hand—a uniquely relaxed and joyful Seattle summer scene. I'm already looking forward to next year. Hopefully, it'll be another beautiful sunny day, and I can once again join friends to join the crowds and soak in the lively atmosphere. I’ll always love Seattle #Seattle#Seattle#Seattlelife#Seattlediary#Seattleguide#Seattlefood#Seattleweekend
