Seattle Road Trip to Lake Chelan | Yacht⛵️ Wineries🍷 Water Fun💦
📍 Lake Chelan State Park: It's a three-hour drive from the Eastside of Seattle, passing through the charming German town of Leavenworth (worth a quick stop!). Summer is peak season, so Airbnb and hotel bookings fill up fast—we stayed near Wenatchee. ⛵️ Yacht Rental: Lake Chelan has plenty of boat rental companies. We rented a medium-sized yacht—you can captain it yourself with a valid WA driver's license after a 15-minute on-site tutorial. Dogs are allowed on board, and we made sure to get a Bluetooth speaker for music while cruising. We also rented a tube for the back of the boat—highly recommend wearing a life jacket 🦺 before hopping on (advice from someone who fell into the water while tubing…). 💦 Lake Chelan State Park: No reservations needed, but parking 🅿️ is first-come, first-served. On summer weekends, arrive in the morning as lots often fill by afternoon. A Discovery Pass is required. The lake water is incredibly clear, almost like Hawaii 🌺. The beach area near the boat dock is dog-friendly, with calm, shallow water perfect for swimming. 🍷 Wineries around Lake Chelan: The area is famous for its wineries, dotted across the surrounding hills. We first tried Fielding Hills Winery, which had stunning views but sadly wasn't dog-friendly. Next, we visited Tsillan Cellars Winery—dog-friendly, with a grand, vintage-style tasting room and sweeping views of the lake. #Seattle#Seattlelife#Seattleguide#travelguide#Seattletrip
