Seattle Surroundings | Snow Lake Trail
For the Thanksgiving holiday, I chose the Snow Lake Trail. The fog has been pretty thick lately, but luckily it wasnโt raining, and I happened to catch a nice day. ๐ The mountains are super beautiful, and the fog made it feel like a fairyland, haha. But the snow in the mountains is very deep, so the trail is sometimes not visible, and you have to blaze your own trail. ๐ Not wearing professional snow gear is very unsafe; donโt be like me and go in jeans and sneakers. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Itโs very slippery and dangerous. I rolled my way up the mountain and rolled my way down. But the view from the mountain top is just too, too beautiful. At the summit, you can see the lake, and the combination of the lake view and the snowscape is simply divine. ๐ โ๏ธ Total time: 4 and a half hours ๐ฅพ Recommended winter hiking gear: trekking poles, crampons, snowshoes, and definitely waterproof hiking boots. ๐: Snow Lake is about a 50-minute drive from Seattle without traffic, and you can park directly at the parking lot at the trailhead. #WinterHiking #WinterHikingRoutes #ExploringWinterMountains #WinterHikingPlans #NaturalSkiSlope #WinterOutdoorHiking #Seattle #AroundSeattle #SeattleHiking #SnowLake
