Second Trip to Jeju 🧊 Found the Most Underrated Secret Valley Online

Visiting Jeju in July and August? You have to check out this spot! Tucked away in Seogwipo (southern Jeju), the water from this waterfall and the stream below is as icy-cold as snowmelt—total relief after a 40°C sunny day. And all these photos are Live Pics—they capture the water’s movement perfectly! Guide to Wonang Falls & Donnaeko Valley (Jeju’s Hidden Gems)😮 🌊 Wonang Falls Location: Inside Hallasan Mountain. There’s a bus to the foot of the mountain, but you’ll still need to hike 20+ minutes uphill—taxi is highly recommended! Just set your navigation to ā€œWonang Fallsā€; the taxi will drop you at the forest entrance (look for the road-side map sign at the entrance—see the last photo šŸ“ø). How to Get There: After entering the forest, pass the small convenience store, then find the wooden boardwalk entrance (there’s an English sign for ā€œWonang Fallsā€). Turn right along the boardwalk and walk ~10 minutes to reach the waterfall.😯 Tips: It’s a niche spot for foreign tourists, but popular with locals—so it’s not a remote wilderness (lifeguards are on-site!). The rocks in the water are mossy and slippery—stay cautious! There’s no changing room, so wear your swimwear/quick-dry clothes beforehand. šŸ’§ Donnaeko Valley (Hidden downstream gem!)šŸ¤– How to Find It: Go back to the wooden boardwalk entrance and walk straight—look for the Korean-only sign for ā€œDonnaeko Valleyā€ (you won’t find much about it online—it’s that underrated ā—). I almost missed it because there’s no English!ā£ Hike Info: Half the path isn’t paved (it’s muddy stone steps, a bit slippery), but it’s much shorter than the waterfall hike—only a 2-minute walk! Why It’s Amazing: This downstream stream has crystal-clear, icy water. Mist hovers over the surface, and the area is shaded by trees—super cool and ethereal! It’s also safer than Wonang Falls; many locals bring their kids here to play (lifeguards are present too). A total pleasant surprise!ā£ āš ļø Important Note Lifeguards finish work at 6 PM, so you’ll be asked to leave by then—don’t arrive too late!šŸ’™ #JejuIsland #SummerStreamHiking #HiddenGemsOfJeju #HallasanNature #JejuSummerTrip
