đ°đˇ Jeju in Winterâď¸
âď¸Breathtaking Scenery, Tricky Weather.đ âď¸Jejuâs winter has a unique atmospheric beautyâbleak, overcast, and faintly reminiscent of Iceland. But itâs also incredibly frustrating: the coastal winds must have been around 6 on the Beaufort scale! Step outside for just a minute, and the cold stings so much it gives you a headache. I totally miscalculated Jejuâs winter climate, so I ended up wrapping my head in a scarf every day to stay warm. Still, since weâd made the trip, we braved the howling winds to visit the coastal mountains anyway.đ Chad flew all the way from Seoul to Jeju just to meet us, then rented a car to take us aroundâhe even treated us to almost every famous local dish. The âjelly seaâ was stunning; even on that cold, gloomy day with poor light, its deep blue couldnât be hidden. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it must be in other seasonsâI think my next Jeju trip will definitely be in summer!đ âď¸ Jeju Winter Travel Guide Clothing: Pack plenty of thick, windproof, and waterproof clothes, plus waterproof shoes. Ear muffs, hats, and gloves are a mustâwinter here is freezing, and the wind makes it even worse.⨠Transportation: Driving or renting a car is highly recommendedâitâs by far the most convenient way to get around (no waiting for buses in the cold!). âď¸Food: Jejuâs most famous dish is black porkâabsolutely delicious, donât miss it! â¨Other Tips: Skip the umbrella and bring a raincoat instead. Jejuâs winter winds are so strong that umbrellas get flipped inside out in seconds. #SouthKorea #JejuIsland #KoreaTravel #JejuTravel
