Second Visit to Chicago’s #1 Italian Spot — Topo Gigio

Honestly, after moving from Chicago to Seattle, what I miss most is Chicago’s abundance of amazing Italian restaurants. In Seattle, every Italian place is $$$$ with mixed reviews… it’s honestly depressing 😵‍💫. Even though I’m crazy busy on this Chicago trip, I made time to revisit Topo Gigio! This time I drove — and finally experienced its one downside: parking is tough 🅿️. Street parking is limited, and nearby lots aren’t cheap. But the food is totally worth it! 🦐 I ordered the seafood risotto again — as rich and flavorful as ever. 🍝 Alex tried the tomato seafood pasta — surprisingly delicious! The tomato sauce was tangy and bright, perfectly paired with the pasta. 🦑 We also got fried calamari — generous portion, and the tomato sauce tasted house-made (so rare in this pre-made food era 🙌). 🏠 Name: Topo Gigio Ristorante 📍 Address: 1516 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60610 #ChicagoEats #ItalianFood #TopoGigio #ChicagoFoodie #SeafoodRisotto #HomemadeSauce
