Send Me $50 to Try Real KFC! 🍗✨

Over Thanksgiving break, I visited Louisville, Kentucky — the birthplace of KFC! And guess what? My very first KFC experience in the U.S. happened right here in Kentucky 😋. The KFC outlets here proudly display the full name: Kentucky Fried Chicken — no abbreviations! The fried chicken tasted similar to the classic Original Recipe, but the pieces were HUGE and incredibly JUICY 🍗💦. Each bite was crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with that iconic blend of 11 herbs and spices. I originally planned to visit the Colonel Sanders Museum, but it was closed on weekends 😭. So instead, I enjoyed an authentic meal at a classic KFC in Old Louisville — and it did not disappoint! The menu felt a little more wholesome and less “fast-foody” than what I’m used to. The coleslaw was fresh, the biscuits were warm and buttery 🧈, and the mashed potatoes came with real gravy. I even tried a local sweet tea — because when in the South, right? ☕️ Though I missed the museum, eating KFC in its hometown felt like a pilgrimage every fried chicken lover should make. There’s something special about tasting the original recipe in the place where it all began — with Colonel Sanders’ spirit (and mustache) watching over you 👴🥸. So… who’s sending me $50 for another bucket? It’s (almost) Crazy Thursday after all! 🎉😉 #KFC #KentuckyFriedChicken #CrazyThursday #Louisville #Kentucky #USATravel #StudyAbroadLife #AmericanFood #ColonelSanders #FoodPilgrimage
