Sichuan Cuisine Spot! Super Cost-Effective & Huge Portions
I finally got the chance to try this Sichuan restaurant—it’s only been open for a few months 🎉! There’s a sign blocking its entrance, so it’s a bit hard to spot the restaurant’s sign at first. But it’s in a plaza, so it’s still easy to find once you’re there. When I arrived, I was surprised—even on a Wednesday, the place was packed! Most of the diners were Asians, which I think says a lot about how authentic it is 👍! Inside, there are about a dozen tables, and there are also outdoor seats. The weather wasn’t too hot, so eating outside was really comfortable—especially nice when digging into spicy food 🌶️! Their menu has so many dishes—I could barely finish reading it! We ordered a ton of food, and it took about 15 to 30 minutes for the dishes to come out. The portions were huge—the table was almost too small to fit everything! We took a few bites of each dish, and there was still so much left. As someone from Guangdong who can’t handle spicy food well, even the “mild spicy” was pretty hot for me 😂. But my friends all wanted it spicier—they ended up compromising for me, which was sweet! At the end, the server helped us pack up the leftovers. There was so much we could’ve eaten more later, but we still couldn’t finish it all in the end 🥡! My Favorite Dishes: Signature Boiled Fish: I only took one or two bites of the other dishes, but I finished all the leftover boiled fish—it was that good 🐟! Crispy Spare Ribs: Crunchy and fragrant, I loved them! We cleaned the whole plate too 🥩! Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil: Way better than the ones at many other places 🥟! Cold Noodles: Refreshing and helped cool down the spiciness 🍜! Mapo Tofu: So tasty with rice—absolute comfort food 🍚! Walnut Shrimp: I originally thought this was a dish made to cater to Americans, but my friend wanted to try it, so we ordered it. Turns out, the shrimp were huge, and it was actually really good—not too sweet at all 🦐! New Dish: Wujiang Snakehead Fish: This was great too! Super fresh—highly recommend 🐠! ❗️ Lots of parking spots available! ❗️ I just noticed they have my favorite Saliva Chicken and Brown Sugar Glutinous Rice Cakes—definitely trying those next time! ❗️ Open every day from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Average cost per person: 💲30. The more people you go with, the more dishes you can try! 📍 Sichuan Bistro 14625 SW Teal Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97007 #portland #Portland #PortlandRestaurantHopping #portlandFood #portlandCheckIn #PortlandFood #PortlandRestaurantHopping
