Silla 🍲｜Korean Restaurant Review in Columbus 🤤

Hello everyone, long time no see~ Today’s post is all about Silla, one of Columbus’s popular and widely-loved Korean restaurants! 📍 Address: 1802 W Henderson Rd, Columbus, OH 43220 ⚠️ Best to take a ride—the nearest bus stop is quite far from here! Recommended Dishes 🍲 Seafood Scallion Pancake 🥘 🌟🌟🌟🌟 If I had to pick one favorite from this restaurant, it’s definitely the seafood pancake! Generous portions with a satisfying texture—you can actually taste pieces of squid and shrimp 🦐. Delicious on its own or dipped in soy sauce, so fresh and flavorful! I remember during a club event, we ordered over ten plates and finished every single one! 😋 Osam Dolsot 🍚 🌟🌟🌟🌟 If I’m not mistaken, the Chinese name is something like “Pork Belly & Seafood Stone Pot” (😂 can’t remember exactly!). Basically, it’s a stone pot bibimbap with pork belly and squid instead of the usual ingredients. The sauce is that classic spicy Korean bibimbap sauce—so good! The portion is perfect for two people to share. 👫 Kimchi Cheese Pancake 🧀 🌟🌟🌟 Compared to the seafood pancake, this one is just okay—nothing special. The cheese isn’t very rich, and the kimchi loses some of its flavor after being pan-fried. But if you’re not a fan of scallions, you might still want to give it a try! Spicy Marinated Sea Snails 🐚 🌟🌟🌟 The seasoning is tasty, but personally, I found the sea snails a bit too fishy. After two bites, I couldn’t eat more. They might have been boiled too long—the texture was also a bit tough. However, the pickled cabbage mixed in was delicious—crispy, tangy, and spicy! If you’re feeling adventurous, you could still try it~ Bibimbap (Stone Pot) 🥢 🌟🌟🌟 Honestly, it’s fine for an occasional meal, but it’s not amazing. Among the bibimbaps I’ve tried, this one is just average. Spicy Stir-fried Rice Cakes (Tteokbokki) 🌶️ 🌟🌟 Nope, nope, nope! 🤺 The sauce was way too thin and tasted oddly sweet and sour. I prefer mine on the spicier side, so I’d recommend skipping this one—consider it a friendly warning! Sundae Guk (Korean Sausage Soup) 🍖 🌟🌟 Small portion with only a few pieces of sundae (blood sausage). The broth was bland, and the sundae had a slightly off-putting smell. If you’re not a fan of sundae, I’d suggest avoiding this dish. There are definitely more tasty dishes to explore here!
