Skipping Black Friday Shopping for a Museum Visit - MIA
🎨For those who aren’t in the mood for shopping today, how about taking a stroll through a museum? 🎨The Minnesota Institute of Art has been hosting activities on Black Friday for the past few years. They open as early as 8 am (usually it’s 10 am), which is perfect for early-rising families. 🎨There’s hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, and special story time and craft sessions for the little ones to make holiday cards. The most fun part is the “spin a wheel” where you get a gift of the color you land on. We got yellow, and it was like it was made just for us – a coloring book with a construction theme. 🎨They also have our favorite corner - the dollhouse exhibit. There are 12 in total. Kids can spend a long time looking at them. #NorthAmericaLife #DesignExhibition #ParticipatoryArt #ContemporaryArtCenter #FollowingDesignersToExhibitions #Minnesota #BlackFriday
