So… What to Eat Tomorrow? | Madison · Grill

Haven’t posted in a while! Today’s review is about a bar & grill. Originally tried to go to a Shanxi noodle place, but I got off work late that day 🥲, and they had already stopped dine-in. It was snowing lightly outside ❄️, and right across the street was this grill spot—so I pushed the door open and went in. The place is pretty small and felt full of regulars from the neighborhood. At one point, an old man walked in, and the staff poured him a glass of red wine without even asking 🍷, then brought him a small dish that wasn’t even on the menu. He sat at the bar, opened a newspaper, and started reading—such a vibe. It was our first time, so we stuck to the menu. We ordered fried fish, onion rings, and two sandwiches. Everything was crispy and flavorful, though the fish itself was lightly seasoned—really relied on tartar sauce plus extra salt and pepper we added ourselves. Even though it was a calorie bomb 💥, it turned out to be a fun and cozy meal—randomly stepping into a neighborhood tavern on a snowy winter night. ❄️ 📍 Oakcrest Tavern #GlobalEats #FoodDiary #InternationalBites #CantResistForeignFood #FoodieCollection #MadisonFood
