This time, it’s a well-known and renowned chain from South Korea. [Lotteria,](https://lotteriausa.com/) a major Japanese-Korean fast-food chain with locations across South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, was founded in 1972 by South Korean entrepreneur Shin Kyuk-ho, with its first location debuting that same year in Japan. By 1977, Lotteria had grown to over 100 locations and expanded to South Korea in 1979. Today, South Korea remains its largest market, boasting around 1,300 restaurants across that country. With more than 1,600 locations worldwide, Lotteria is best known for its distinctive fast-food offerings, including marinated bulgogi burgers, shrimp burgers, and fried chicken. Its name comes from combining “Lotte,” its parent company, with “cafeteria.” Fullerton’s Lotteria recently had its soft opening this week, teasing its full menu via Instagram. Highlights include the signature shrimp and *bulgogi* burgers, as well as the *Jeonju Bibimbap* Rice Burger, served on *gochujang*-seasoned rice patties, with the grand opening coming very soon, featuring free merch for early visitors while supplies last.
