If I could give this place 0, I would..I could not even review about the food, at least I could say it's worth it. Base on experience alone for a new food chain..It was really bad. No wonder you only have 3.5 stars. We came around 9 pm and waited for an hour only to decline us because they said THEY STOP TAKING ORDERS AT 10., which is cool..places have polices. But they did not stop people from lining up keeping our hopes up, the only thing they said that they might not take our orders depending on how many orders before us. They could have said, to the people already in line that ok this is where we have a cut off and we will not take new people but we will serve the people who already waited an X amount of time like others restaurants do. That's not even the worst part...9:59 pm we were next to this two guys one is East Asian and there are few people behind us in line about 10 people maybe. The workers tolds us "Sorry guys we cut off taking orders at exactly 10 pm". Exactly 10 he let the two guys in and told the rest of us in line that they are sorry, that we waited that long and we can come back tom when they open. I was obviously disappointed we we're next in line already and waited an hour for nothing. But ok policy is policy.. all is cool it is what it is.Every one leaves except us and this family of 3 that are last in line and they were East Asian. We did not leave right away because we we're trying to figure out where would we eat instead. We were standing close enough to see the door. This family probably in line for about 10-15 mins, I was on my phone and checking the time when I saw them walk by.But what really enraged me is when the workers TRIED TO let this family in, after the mom pursued him to let them in.That's when I called him out!! Like hey why you are letting them in that's not fair I was the one next in line and waited an hour. He saw me and that's when he declined to let them in after calling him out he close the door again.. I honestly feel bad for that family but I will not take unfairness and discrimination lightly. Lotteria do better.. You kept people in line just to see how hype you are.. but that will not last long.. When the weather starts to get cold no one will crave for your food anymore, no one will stay an hour outside freezing. There are so many food chains around the area that are probably taste better than what you can offer..But what will keep people from coming back is the service..Rest assured that this will incident will be spread to the community. Word of mouth...
Read moreFood was good but it's definitely more hype than it's worth. Ready for this ridiculous timeline, you're welcome in advance.
I was in the area and decided to check the line. Nice, it's 9:40am and I'm the 6th car in line. Orders start at 10am and I didn't order until 10:15am. I watch the people who walked in during opening and focused on one dude to see how long he'd take versus me. He was about 10th in line. 10:40 the guy I was watching got his food inside. 10:43am and I finally put my car in drive and the 3rd car got food. 10:51am I finally got my food. Took me an hour to get food... 6th in line! I can only imagine how long it will take for the 20 cars behind me. It's no wonder why people are waiting 2-3 hours for this food. If this is how the very beginning of the day is, I would hate trying to go any other time.
Not sure why it takes so long for them. I appreciate freshness but geez, an hour for the 6th person in line is CRAZY. It's like they don't prep or something? Idk but they've got to figure that part out.
Food review: They only sell 50, yes 50, Bibim rice burgers a day. Only 1 per order allowed. I purchased the Bibim burger and the bugolgi shrimp burger with cheese fries and lemonade. $27 and some change total. The rice burger was good but I expected a little more out of that bun. I thought the rice might be a little crunchy since it's a bun, it was really just sticky rice. It holds together over all but taking a bit some rice would fall. Wish it was a bit crunchy and more sturdy. A little spicy but the right type of kick, I think it's kimchi rice. Over all it's good flavor. The bugolgi shrimp burger was good, flavors were great and I enjoyed it. Fries were ok, felt like I bought the same bag at vons and make them in my air fryer all the time lol. I chose the cheese flavor, it was ok, slightly sweet but good. Overall, good quality food, good taste, but expectations were way too high with the hype and then the long wait even tho I was 6th in line. Will I be...
Read moreThe employees, the vibes and overall service is not why I gave this place such a bad review. Its a very cute building with what looks like a cozy atmosphere inside. I went through the drive through cause it seemed faster than the line outside. They seemed to limit how many people could be inside but provided those waiting with umbrellas. Anyway I came a on a friday a few weeks agter opening. Came at almost exactly 12 and there was a rush which was expected. Once we got our food (after about a 45 min wait) it looked like there was no more line so definitely come in at none rush hour times.
Now the issue is the food... its just not good. Everything is sweet. Even the onion powder for the shaken fries. Bulgogi is inherently sweet but that ontop of the sweet fries was too much. The burger meat is just cheap too. Like what they serve at school lunches. I've never had lotteria in Korea but ive been to Korea and I will say nearly everything I ate there had visible sugar on it. It seems like a cultural thing to have your food be sweet but unfortunately I think its a HUGE miss in the US and Americans are not going to like this. Its also hard to justify paying 12$ for a meal there to get a lower quality burger than McDonald's andsuper average fries on their own and terrible with the flavor packet on them when In n Out exists in the state.
Overall I was disappointed by the food. I got just the regular bulgogi burger meal with the onion flavoring and my friend got the same. I was so excited by the menu and told me friend we had to come back to try some of the other dishes. One bit and and I knew wouldnt ever go back there again even if the...
