Southern France in Marseille: Ending the Trip with Grilled Snails 🐌
In the old port area of Marseille, Southern France, a vibrant mix of people brings an almost endless array of culinary choices. The restaurateur, with the flamboyant enthusiasm typical of Latin descent, told us that finding her place was finding a reason to eat until we burst. 😂 Haha, snails 🐌 and clams. It’s clearly Burgundy snails. Compared to other grilled snails we’ve had on this trip, the green sauce here is more intense, and the bread 🥖 is unlimited. Apart from the octopus 🐙 chandelier inside the restaurant, the owner’s clever ideas were also reflected in the Chinese menu that shocked us. Loup ou Daurade Grille - Grilled wolf 🐺? We later corrected the owner, “Sea bass or bream can be referred to by this term. But it probably has nothing to do with wolves. Who helped you with the translation? You can’t serve ‘grilled wolf,’ or I could sue you.” 😄 She was amused by it. Also, the local shops in the residential area definitely don’t sell Marseille bouillabaisse; that’s for tourists, haha. Near the old port, the Airbnb with its beautiful spiral staircase was not just for capturing the memory of its lines, colors, and the beauty of overlapping transitions, but also for the hard work of climbing up and down, especially carrying luggage twice! 📸🤓 #MyRandomPhotos #SouthernFrance #SouthernFranceTravel #SouthernFranceVacation #Marseille #MarseilleBouillabaisse #Maseille #MarseilleOldPort #GrilledSnails
