Spokane | 3-Day Trip Food & Attraction Recommendations‼️

Spent the long Independence Day weekend exploring Spokane with friends—here’s a recap! [👍] 📸 Attractions 🌊 Riverfront Park It’s rare to see such a powerful waterfall right in the middle of a downtown area—absolutely spectacular! The whole park is built around the waterfall, and you can also take a cable car for a tour. Must-sees include the remnants of the 1974 World’s Fair, the Looff Carrousel (a handcrafted wooden carousel built in 1909 that spins surprisingly fast, with ball-tossing games on the side), the old clock tower, and the famous garbage goat sculpture. 🌹 Manito Garden This place combines several gardens into one beautiful space—totally Instagram-worthy. When we visited in July, Rose Hill was in full bloom, showcasing hundreds of rose varieties—it felt like walking through a live catalog!👍 The Japanese Garden is serene and perfect for quiet reflection, while the Duncan Garden features symmetrical geometric flower beds that are great for photos. 🏨 Davenport Hotel A historic local landmark built in 1914—this hotel has witnessed much of Spokane’s development. The walls are covered with paintings depicting its glorious past. If you don’t mind slightly dated room facilities, it’s a cool place to stay. ⛰️ Bowl & Pitcher The suspension bridge offers breathtaking views of the most dramatic section of the Spokane River, with massive unusual rock formations below. Spokane’s parks are all worth exploring—you can also bike along the Centennial Trail or go fishing at Nine Mile. 🥢 Food 🦞 Vieux Carre NOLA By the time we got back to the city after fishing, it was almost 10 PM, and not many restaurants were open. This one stays open until 11 PM—decent hours, unique décor, and the food did not disappoint! Their crawfish were super fresh, tender, and clean—definitely worth trying. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were perfectly seasoned, and the cheesy grits underneath were a delicious first-time try for me. The Jambalaya was a bit salty, but between the four of us, we finished it quickly. Cajun food might just be the American cuisine that best suits our taste buds!😀 🍣 Shiki Located near Riverfront Park, this Japanese restaurant has an elegant atmosphere. If it were in Seattle, prices would probably be much higher. The sushi and pork cutlet rice were decent, but their shaved ice was a standout—perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. 😍 🥩 Texas Roadhouse Haven’t had it in ages, and I still think it’s the best chain steakhouse in terms of taste and value. I missed those free peanuts and soft rolls so much! And that juicy ribeye… When will they finally open one in Seattle? 😭 #Spokane #SpokaneTravel #SpokaneFood #WashingtonStateTravel #SeattleTravel #AnotherDayWithoutCatch😤
