Spokane | Food & Attraction Guide 🇺🇸
Spent the long Independence Day weekend exploring Spokane with friends – here are my top recommendations! 🎉 📸 Must-Visit Attractions 🌊 Riverfront Park A stunning waterfall right in the heart of downtown! The park is beautifully built around the falls, and you can even take a cable car for a better view 🚡. Don’t miss: Remains of the 1974 World’s Fair The historic Looff Carrousel (a handcrafted wooden merry-go-round from 1909 – surprisingly fast and fun!) The old clock tower and the famous garbage goat sculpture 🐐 🌹 Manito Park & Gardens A combination of several gorgeous gardens – absolutely worth the visit! In July, Rose Hill was in full bloom with hundreds of rose varieties 🌹. The Japanese Garden is a peaceful retreat, while the Duncan Garden’s symmetrical European-style flowerbeds are perfect for photos 📸. 🏨 The Historic Davenport Hotel Built in 1914, this iconic hotel tells the story of Spokane’s growth through its grand interiors and historic artwork. A great stay if you don’t mind slightly dated rooms! ⛰️ Bowl & Pitcher Walk across the suspension bridge for breathtaking views of the Spokane River and unique rock formations below. Spokane’s parks are truly gems – you can also bike along the Centennial Trail or go fishing at Nine Mile 🎣. 🥢 Food & Dining Highlights 🦞 Vieux Carre NOLA We arrived back in the city around 10 PM, and this was one of the few spots still open (until 11 PM!). The décor is charming, and the food did not disappoint: Fresh, tender, and well-cleaned crawfish Flavorful bacon-wrapped shrimp with cheesy grits A slightly salty but delicious Jambalaya Cajun cuisine might just be the American food that best suits our taste buds! 😋 🍣 Shiki Japanese Restaurant Located near Riverfront Park, this elegant spot would cost a lot more if it were in Seattle! While the sushi and katsu rice bowl were decent, their shaved ice was the real star – so refreshing after a day of exploring! 🍧 🥩 Texas Roadhouse It’s been a while since I’ve been, but this chain truly offers the best value and taste among steakhouse options. I missed those free peanuts 🥜 and warm rolls, plus their juicy ribeye – I wish they’d open one in Seattle! 😭 #Spokane #SpokaneTravel #SpokaneFood #WashingtonState
