Day 1 📍 Scenic Overlook of the Columbia River Stunning views, but super windy 💨 📍 Wild Horse Scenic View Area Two steep paths – one straight up with loose gravel, the other slightly gentler but still slippery with rolling stones. We didn’t make it to the top due to safety concerns 😥 📍 Frenchman Coulee Magnificent basalt columns and canyon views 🏞️ 📍 Palouse Falls Breathtaking waterfall! The road into the state park is unpaved – drive carefully 🚙 🍕 Lunch at a pizza place in Othello – surprisingly delicious! 🏨 Stayed at Best Western Wheatland Inn in Colfax – right across from a supermarket 🛒 Day 2 📍 Marvin Wells Rd A scenic drive with gorgeous views 🛣️. By mid-July, the wheat fields had turned golden yellow mixed with patches of green. For that classic “Windows desktop” look, visit in spring 🌾 📍 Kamiak Butte County Park Hiked the Kamiak Butte Trail since Steptoe Butte was still closed 🥾 📍 Manito Park Loved the Rose Garden and Duncan Garden – so beautiful and photogenic 🌹📸 📍 Riverfront Park Waterfall in the heart of downtown! Street parking available – ~$2/hour 💵 📍 Historic Davenport Hotel A grand, historic hotel with stunning interiors 🏰 📍 Spokane County Courthouse Looks like a Disney castle from the outside 🏯 📍 Gonzaga University A pleasant stroll through the peaceful campus 🎓 📍 Bowl & Pitcher Cross the bridge and relax by the river – the sound of flowing water is so soothing 💧😌 🍽️ Lunch at Kim’s Korean Restaurant – just okay, not highly recommended 🏨 Stayed at Ruby River Hotel Downtown Spokane Day 3 📍 Crown Point Vista Viewed the Grand Coulee Dam – the largest dam in the U.S.! 📍 Dry Falls Vista House Explored the remains of a prehistoric dry waterfall 🏜️ 📍 Lake Lenore Caves Trailhead Wanted to see ice caves, but no ice in summer ❄️😅 🚗 Then… headed Home 🏡 #Spokane #USA #TravelGuide #RoadTrip #Itinerary
