Spokane Two-Day Trip | A Walk Through Architecture & Nature 🏙️

Another spontaneous trip – decided and set off within just one hour! Though short on time, we stuck to downtown and were swept away by Spokane’s charm. 🌳 Riverfront Park – A True Urban Oasis This park is thoughtfully designed with engaging landscape features and inviting public spaces. Winding paths lead you along the river, past dams, islands, a historic clock tower, and surrounding architecture – every step offers a new view. Strolling here was pure joy! 🧒 Family-Friendly & Fun The park includes 2-3 clean, modern playgrounds where kids can play for hours. The Ice Age Playground stood out – more like a vibrant neighborhood square with play structures, a basketball court, and pavilions, all well-used and full of energy. 🚡 Numerica Skyride A 15-minute gondola ride glides about 100 meters over the river, offering a close-up view of the lower dam. A fresh and fun way to see the city from above! 🎠 Looff Carrousel – A Timeless Delight My little one’s favorite – a beautifully preserved, century-old carousel. Ride all you want for one ticket – pure nostalgic joy! 🏛️ An Architecture Lover’s Dream What captured my heart most was Spokane’s layered architectural tapestry. Ornate red-brick arches stand beside bold brutalist concrete, sacred religious structures contrast with sleek modern designs. Each building confidently expresses its era and style. Here, classical meets contemporary, intricate details blend with clean lines – a feast for the eyes. I couldn’t get enough! Spokane beautifully integrates nature into the urban fabric – the river and dam aren’t just scenery; they’re part of the city’s soul. And through its architecture, you can still feel the vibrant spirit of the 1974 World’s Fair. I’ll definitely be back – and if you love architecture, don’t miss this hidden gem of a city! ✨ #Spokane #Architecture #UrbanDesign #FamilyTravel
