Stumbled into a Tropical Rainforest π΄
Who would have thought there could be a tropical rainforest in Germany?! I highly recommend everyone to come and play here!! It's also a fantastic spot for taking pictures!! πΈ Let me start by saying that this is actually a tropical rainforest pavilion at Leipzig Zoo, said to be the second-largest indoor rainforest exhibit in the world. It simulates a tropical climate, filled with numerous tropical plants and animals, and even has an artificial river where you can take a boat ride for just 2 euros per person, which I found to be a very novel experience! π£ββοΈ Walking through, there are suspension bridges, and often unknown little birds π¦, lizards π¦, or monkeys π can be seen in the trees around. Except for dangerous animals (like the Komodo dragon) which are separated, other small animals are freely roaming inside, making the experience of discovering them as you walk very interesting! We even saw a monkey climbing upside down on the dome!! π β₯οΈ Tips: For those who come in winter, remember to wear short sleeves or thin clothes inside!! It's really stuffy in there! You can store your coat for free in a locker, but it requires a 1-euro coin to activate, and you get the coin back when you return the key. The exhibit takes about 1-2 hours to explore, and there's also a restaurant and souvenir shop inside. #Zoo #LeipzigZoo #TropicalRainforest #AmazonJungle #WonderfulAnimals #GermanLife #Leipzig #Kapibara #GermanZoo #DayOut
