Summer! Portland’s Best Season Arrives! 3-Day Detailed Guide 🌞
This weekend, I visited Portland—a paradise for both scenery and shopping. With 3 full days, no rushed “special forces” travel, no backtracking, and 3 different areas explored each day. DAY 1 🛍️ Downtown Portland Area The first day was all about wandering the city: Bing Mi: The ultimate jianbing guozi (Chinese savory crepe)! The crispy fritter and sauce tasted just like home—even better than some I’ve had in China 🥞. Nordstrom: Tax-free shopping! I bought two bags (LV Metis and BV Ciaociao) and a laptop, saving hundreds of dollars 💰. Pittock Acres Park Viewpoint: My favorite spot to see Mount Hood—city skyline, mountains, and snow-capped peaks all in one view 🗻. Lechon Restaurant: A South American spot with around $80 per person. Great ambiance and food—highly recommend the Kung Pao chicken 🍗. DAY 2 🏔️🌳 Mount Hood Grand Loop Area Follow this order of attractions to avoid backtracking. There are also small waterfalls along the way—take your time to stop and explore if you’re not in a hurry: Chanticleer Point Lookout: If you don’t have a drone, this viewpoint lets you capture the full view of Vista House. Drive a little further to reach Vista House itself 📸. Multnomah Falls: The famous double-tiered waterfall, but we couldn’t get in without a reservation—only caught a distant glimpse. Also, make sure to park at Multnomah Falls Parking 🅿️! Panorama Point: Forest villages and snow-capped mountains—it felt like being in Switzerland, as if time stood still. A lesser-known viewpoint, but highly recommended 🏞️. Hood River Town: You’ll pass through this town on the way to the next spot. We grabbed a casual brunch and checked out many souvenir shops 🛍️. Hope Ranch Lavender: The lavender isn’t fully in bloom yet—probably will be fully open by late June. The waving lavender fields are perfect for photos 🌿. Trillium Lake: $10 for parking. This was my most anticipated spot, but it rained in the mountains—our little regret of the trip ☔. DAY 3 🌊 Cannon Beach Area Ecola Point Viewpoint: It takes about 2 hours to drive from the city to the coast. This viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the entire coastline 🌅. Cannon Beach Access: A small path leading to the beach. Parking is a bit tricky, but it’s by far the most beautiful path to the shore 👣. Cannon Beach Smokehouse: All the meat is freshly grilled—super tender, and reasonably priced, around $30 per person 🍖. #Portland #PortlandTravel #TaxFree #SnowyMountains #Beach #Travel #Shopping #TravelGuide #Waterfalls #InternationalStudents #Oregon 🌟
