Summer at Lake Tahoe | A Californian’s Water Wonderland 🌊☀️
Lake Tahoe has a magical way of making even the least active person fall in love with the outdoors. Early summer here means perfect weather and breathtaking views! 🏄 Activities 🪂 Paragliding So much fun – zero sense of falling, not even when turning! Soaring above the lake feels like having a bird’s-eye view 🦅. The whole lake unfolds beneath you – absolutely surreal! 🚣 Clear Kayaking Great for photos, but a one-time experience for me. The guide felt a bit rushed. If you know how to kayak, I’d recommend renting your own – cheaper and more freedom! 🧗 Hiking at Cave Rock Perfect for adventurers! You can climb to the top (some scrambling involved). We took 30+ minutes using hands and feet – but the summit views are unreal 🌅. Ideal at sunset! Next time: Jet skiing + lakeside biking! 🚴♀️💨 🏨 Accommodation Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Private beach 🏖️ – quiet and uncrowded Free activities: archery, axe throwing, yoga 🏹🪓🧘 Loved Burn & Brew: burn designs into wood to make fridge magnets, ornaments, coasters – a unique Tahoe souvenir! 🔥🎁 Breakfast buffet was delicious 🍉🍰 Evenings: roast marshmallows by the fire 🔥🍡 🍽️ Food & Drinks 🍖 Red’s Old 395 Grill A must for meat lovers! Huge portions, smoky flavors, wild West decor 🐂. Like Texas Roadhouse but better! Service was exceptional. 🪵 The Edge Restaurant & Lounge Inside Edgewood – requires reservation. Great views, but food was just okay 😕. 🔥 Hell’s Kitchen You can’t skip the hype – food is decent, but their foie gras was better than Edgewood’s! 🦐 My Thai Cuisine Delicious Thai food – even better than Bay Area spots! BUT… service was terrible 😤. Great taste, rude staff. 🍦 Sweet Tahoe Time Ice Cream Cozy spot near Kings Beach – huge servings! Blueberry ice cream = must-try! 🍦💙 #LakeTahoe #CaliforniaTravel #SummerVibes #OutdoorAdventure #FoodReview
