Day 1: South Lake Tahoe Adventure We started our journey after lunch in South Lake Tahoe. 🚠 Heavenly Gondola A must-visit in South Lake Tahoe! Ticket: $75 per person. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the lake. First stop has scenic views, with some snow patches even in summer. Only Tamarack Express was open (other routes closed). Winter tip: Sky Express is the best for skiing! 🏖️ Nevada Beach Located on the Nevada side—quiet & perfect for family picnics. Park roadside & walk easily to the beach. Crystal-clear water, great for swimming! 🪨 Cave Rock Amazing photo spot with stunning views! ⚠️ Limited parking—arrive early. Popular for rock climbing & holds sacred significance for the Washoe Tribe. 🏞️ Logan Shoals Vista Point Close to Cave Rock, with equally gorgeous lake views. Short but steep 10-min hike—totally worth it! 🏖️ Secret Cove Nude Beach Famous clothing-optional beach with transparent water & natural rock formations. 🏖️ Sand Harbor Beach One of Tahoe’s most popular beaches (great for swimming, kayaking, diving). ⚠️ Reservation required starting Aug 17—we missed out due to last-minute plans. 😢 Day 2: Exploring Iconic Spots We stayed at a hotel in South Lake Tahoe for easy access. After breakfast, we headed out! 🩵 Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe’s signature spot—perfect for photos! Highlights: Fannette Island & Vikingsholm Castle. Great for hiking, swimming, or boating. 🛤️ Sugar Pine Point Beach A serene & beautiful beach inside Sugar Pine Point State Park. Parking fee: $10.
