Sun Garden - An ATL Gem Worth the Drive! 🚗💨

Gathered some real ones today—friends willing to drive a whole hour for a good meal! 😄 We returned to Sun Garden, and it did not disappoint. Along with the dishes pictured, we also ordered gai lan (Chinese broccoli) and couple’s delight —both solid, but pretty standard, so we skipped the photos. Our star guest, as always, was the legendary Walk-Goose 🦆✨! It’s so popular these days that it sold out in just three hours—we almost missed out! Turns out, my own posts about this place made it harder for me to secure my favorite dish 😂. Thankfully, the owner saved the day and reserved the very last one for us. This time, the goose came with new sidekicks—a type of mushroom and super crispy fried potatoes that took the dish to another level. Next up: Typhoon Shelter Double Lobster 🦞! The lobster was fried to crispy perfection, seasoned just right, and wok-tossed with crunchy silverfish and other aromatics. Hands down the best Typhoon Shelter-style lobster in the state. We also tried the Stir-Fried Whelk—tender, spicy, and packed with wok hei 🐚🌶️. It paired beautifully with the green peppers, and I’d definitely order it again. The smoked fish, likely made from pomfret, was another hit—crispy, slightly sweet, and totally addictive. Six dishes + tip came out to just $45 per person.
