Sun-Kissed & Carefree Vibes 🍃 Ventura Beach

Ventura is a charming coastal town located west of LA, about an hour's drive away. 🚗💨 We took the kids there for a weekend trip — and it was totally worth it! Ventura Beach boasts soft white sand, a picturesque pier dotted with sailboats ⛵, and bright blue skies dotted with fluffy clouds ☀️☁️. You’ll see people walking their dogs, sunbathing, and just relaxing — unlike some crowded beaches that feel like a pot of boiling dumplings 🥟, this place is peaceful and serene, like having your own private stretch of shore. A true summer escape! 🤪 Across from the beach, there’s a cute village plaza where you can grab drinks, ice cream 🍦, or snacks. You can also take a short drive to nearby Oxnard Beach Park for a lovely stroll. And if you go on a Saturday between 6–11 AM, there’s even a lively fishermen’s market! 🐟🦀 The plaza itself is lovely — perfect for a relaxed walk with nice views. 😌🌴 🛶 About Boat Rentals: You can’t reserve boats in advance — it’s first-come, first-served! We rented a little electric boat 🚤; prices range from $45–150 per hour depending on the type. Paying in cash gives you a better deal 💵📸 (check the photo for reference!). They also have adorable pedal swan and duck boats 🦆 — those are cheaper! Other options include kayaks and paddle boards. You can pick whatever suits your vibe! Just a heads-up: the swan boat we rented didn’t have a canopy (staff said it’s too windy 💨), so we got totally sun-kissed — and sunburned! 🌞😅 Just 40 minutes on the water, and we were already glowing pink. Don’t forget sunscreen! Ventura is also near the lovely town of Ojai — about 30 minutes from the beach.
