Sunny Deception Pass
🌞The weather was lovely over the weekend, so I visited nearby Deception Pass for a stroll. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive from Seattle. If you have more time and want to make a day of it, you can also take a ferry to Whidbey Island first and then drive over. ✨Besides the famous bridge (as shown in the cover photo), Deception Pass State Park also offers campgrounds, beaches, trails, and more. Since I arrived close to sunset, I didn’t explore too deeply—I just took a walk at Rosario Beach and then headed to see the bridge. After seeing the bridge, you can check out the views at 📍 Mt. Erie, which is only a 20-minute drive from Deception Pass. You can either hike to the top of Mt. Erie or drive directly to the summit (I love spots where you can drive to enjoy the scenery!). The view from the top is fantastic—you can see the "Thousand Islands Lake," and it’s also a great place to watch the sunset 🌅. #Seattle #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleWeekend #WeekendGetaway #Sunset #SeattleDaily
