Super beautiful atmosphere of Mediterranean fusion in Boston

🍴 Coquette: Boston’s Stylish Spot with Hits, Misses, and Very Salty Surprises This sleek, atmospheric restaurant looks the part for a fancy night out—but the food? It’s a mixed bag. Some dishes shine, others leave you reaching for water (and questioning the salt shaker’s sanity). Here’s the unfiltered breakdown: 🌟 The Winners (Order These) Duck Chichons ✅ • The standout: Shredded duck, rich and spreadable like a savory pâté, piled on crusty bread. • Layered flavors—umami from the duck, a hint of sweetness, and crunch from the bread. Easily the best dish of the night. Atlantic Crab Fondue ✅ • Creamy, cheesy crab dip with tender crab meat—indulgent and briny. • Served with crispy, fried focaccia strips (perfect for sopping up every drop). Skip eating it alone, though—it’s salty on its own. Mushroom Bianca Pizza ✅ • Thin, crackly crust topped with juicy oyster mushrooms and melty cheese. • Simple, but the mushrooms “pop” with flavor—cheesy, earthy, and just greasy enough. ❌ The Letdowns (Save Your Money) Truffle Chicken • No truffle—not a hint of truffle oil, salt, or shavings. Just… (braised) chicken in a basic sauce. • Shockingly salty (we found salt granules) with uneven seasoning—one bite was bland, the next was bitter. • $47 for half a chicken? Not worth it. Spicy Salami Pizza • So salty, we chugged water between bites. The ultra-thin crust can’t balance the overload of salty salami. Lamb Meatballs • Tender texture, but strong lamb gamey flavor (contrary to hype). Not for the faint of heart. Focaccia & Fries • Focaccia: Greasy, not worth the extra $$$. ・Fries: Coated in (coarse salt) with a weird, artificial-tasting dip. Stick to ketchup (ask for it—they don’t serve it by default). 📍 The Verdict: 2.5/5 (Style Over Substance) Coquette looks great for photos, but the food is hit-or-miss—with way too much salt. Stick to the duck chichons, crab fondue, and mushroom pizza if you go, but don’t expect consistency. #BostonDining #MediterraneanFood #HitOrMiss #BostonEats
