Coquette is a restaurant with a lot of potential, but my recent dining experience was a mix of highs and lows.
The Good: Interior & Décor: The interior is absolutely stunning. The elegant and sophisticated design creates a high-end atmosphere that’s perfect for a special occasion. The décor is visually appealing and sets the tone for an upscale dining experience. Food: The food was okay—nothing extraordinary, but decent. My girlfriend particularly enjoyed the salmon, which was a highlight of the meal.
The Not-So-Good: Service: The service was disappointing. Despite having a reservation for 7:30 PM, we weren’t seated until 7:40 PM. It took a long time to get water, place our orders, and even receive the bill. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and one waitress was notably rude, shouting at me to wait for my server when I tried to order dessert. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism really detracted from the experience. Noise Level: The music started off quiet but gradually became way too loud, to the point where it felt like we were in a nightclub. The bass was so intense that I could feel it in my chest, making it hard to enjoy the meal or have a conversation. Comfort:The tables were way too close together, and our table was very small. My girlfriend and I felt cramped and uncomfortable throughout the meal, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the experience.
Overall: While Coquette has a beautiful interior and decent food, the service issues, noise level, and cramped seating made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been. I’m not sure if I’d return, but if I do, it would likely be on a weekday when the restaurant is less crowded. If you’re looking for a visually stunning spot and don’t mind the noise, it might be worth a visit—just don’t expect top-notch service.
Suggestions for Improvement: Improve Service Efficiency:More staff or better training could help reduce wait times and improve the overall experience. Noise Control:Lower the music volume or add soundproofing to create a more comfortable dining environment. Table Spacing: Rearrange the tables to provide more space and privacy for diners.

We recently celebrated my friend’s 30th birthday at Coquette, located within the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. Despite a minor scheduling miscommunication, the evening was transformed into a memorable experience, thanks to the outstanding hospitality of the staff.
The manager on duty, Dominic, addressed the situation with remarkable professionalism, offering our party complimentary champagne and appetizers. This thoughtful gesture set a delightful tone for the celebration.
Throughout the evening, the staff exhibited exceptional attentiveness and kindness, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless. The cuisine was exquisite, featuring fresh seafood, a stunning raw bar, and Capri-style pizzas that delighted our palates. The cocktails were equally impressive, crafted with sophistication and flair.
The restaurant’s ambiance exudes refined, casual elegance, providing a visually stunning backdrop perfect for capturing cherished moments. The aesthetic appeal of Coquette added an extra layer of enjoyment to our celebration.
I wholeheartedly recommend Coquette for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in Boston, whether for a special occasion or an intimate evening out. We eagerly anticipate our next visit to this remarkable establishment.

I am extremely frustrated with the lack of response from your team regarding my repeated attempts to make a reservation. I have reached out FIVE times since February to book a table for my friend’s birthday and have yet to receive a single response.
Every time I’ve tried calling, I am unable to reach a person nor leave a voicemail because the system hangs up on me. I’ve also attempted to reach out through your website, but still—no response. This level of disregard for customer service is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that claims to provide a high-quality dining experience.
At this point, I would not recommend your establishment to anyone, as it’s clear that customer inquiries are not a priority. If you actually care about your guests, I suggest you improve your communication and reservation process.
I expect a prompt response to this email—though, given my experience so far, I won’t...
Read morePoor experience which didn't help with how expensive the food was. I recently went to Coquette during my graduation weekend for dinner. I had made a reservation a month in advance, considering we were a party of 5 and the place apparently tends to fill up. When I arrived, the hostess and what I assumed was the manager did not greet nor ask me if I had a table reserved for several minutes, despite me standing right in front of them (they were also working on something on a tablet but they didn't even say "We'll attend to you in a couple of minutes." Or anything to just acknowledge I was waiting with my whole family behind me in front of them. They flat out ignored us.) Once we were finally seated, we ordered La Grande Shellfish Tower ($145 for apparently 4-6 people), since it listed a lot of food on it, and we were pretty hungry. The presentation was indeed grand, but it felt more like appetizer food than what you could share but still feel full. I would honesty order this just for 3 people. In no way would this even leave 6 people just satisfied without ordering something else. Our server was also pretty condescending and wasn't super helpful in what kinds of foods were most popular or best to order. We were really excited to go but it's not worth to try out again. There's other places we tried that weekend that were equally just as expensive with great food and better hospitality at the most basic level making their guests feel welcome. On a different note, the music was pretty loud (kind of a club/bar vibe) so we kind of had to raise our voice to talk - not the biggest thing in the world but it wasn't the vibe I expected for dinner with family. Best part was talking with the one of ladies picking up our empty plates and her even going the extra mile to ask about drinks another table had. I didn't catch her name but we spoke in Spanish and was so sweet compared to our waiter who couldn't really care to attend to us. Please do better for your guests. I was so excited to go, and it was just so so disappointing from...
